This would be perfect for my business's needs.
Anybody know of any service like this in the UK? The way it works is they give you a mailing address, and they essentially scan the mail so you can see it online and then decide what you want to do with it.
Thanks.Any scanned postal-mail service available in the UK (like Earth Class Mail in the US)?
since you didnt say where you would be sending it i have the link to the royal mail web site. They do have tracking options but i explains more about postage size and cost

What's US Postal Service Priority Mail and Standard Flat Rate Shipping?
What's the difference on Ebay of US Postal Service Priority Mail and Standard Flat Rate Shipping? What's US Postal Service Priority Mail and Standard Flat Rate Shipping?
Priority is usually 2-3 days delivery time, Standard a little longer. Ebay has nothing to do with it.What's US Postal Service Priority Mail and Standard Flat Rate Shipping?
If a listing says Standard Flat Rate, it could mean anything, it covers the seller so he can decide what to charge and how to ship after the auction ends, unless you ask before you bid how much it will cost to your location and by what class of service he will ship.

How do l receive the incoming and outgoing mail service SETTINGS on my NOKIA 6111?
There are two sets of settings for Yahoo email. The first assumes that you are allowed POP3 access on the FREE accounts. Many of us have to use the PAID Yahoo Mail Plus accounts in order to access POP3 facilities, in which case the second set of settings would apply.
1) Yahoo! Mail Settings (if allowed)
Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 110)
Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 25)
2) Yahoo! Mail Plus email server settings
Yahoo Plus Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995)
Yahoo Plus Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465, use authentication)
If you need to upgrade, go to Options %26gt; Mail Plus %26gt; Upgrade now %26gt; enter your payment details for $19.99 annual fee to complete the process.

Is incredimail needed for Yahoo mail to run or is it just a different mail service?
Incredimail is not a Yahoo service but an enhancement to add graphics to the Yahoo mail. Many people find these irritating and an increase of their bandwidth and download limits with their Internet providers. It's more like a toy people use to 'pretty up' their mails.
(Ribbit)Is incredimail needed for Yahoo mail to run or is it just a different mail service?
No, its not needed at all
Its another type of mail.

What is the correct address for the Mail Preference Service?
I'm trying to get off the Direct Marketing Association mailing list so I will stop receiving junk mail and I have several addresses (2 in Carmel NY with different po boxes, one in Farmington NY) and their official website says I need to give them a check for $1 to get off the list but all the other websites don't say anything about that (including the USPS website). Does anyone know what the correct address and instructions are? What is the correct address for the Mail Preference Service?
The Mail Preference Service division of the Direct Marketing Association (known as DMA) compiles a list of people who do not want junk mail. This list is provided to any company who requests it, usually magazines.
Write Mail Preference Service and request your name, address, and phone number be deleted from all mailing and marketing lists. Provide them with three spellings or variations of your name, as well as with any other names at your address (including previous occupants). They will retain your information for five years. At that time you should write again. Be sure to write when you move. Send your name and address. Be sure to sign and date your letter.

Where do i look for companies that need mail service?
I'm stating a mail service company but know what do i do i want to get to the companies that need mail service where do i look or place my ad? i'm in the start up phase and need my first clientWhere do i look for companies that need mail service?
If i were you, id set up a profile on a free website TheLocal Index.com...its the best way that you could showcase exclusively what you provide as a service...plus, sense they prohibit big companies from creating a profile, it allows the chance for people who need your service to find you easier. You should take advantage of promoting your local product and service for free...personally, it seems better than CitySearch and those other search sites like yahoo bc there are no ads, so its all about the clients!
Check it out, Good luck!

My yahoo mail got hacked, alternative service?
What is the most secure, safe free online mail service? Yahoo doesn't care what happens, so I want to get off this sinking ship.My yahoo mail got hacked, alternative service?
It's really not Yahoo's problem if you use an insecure password. Any freemail account will get hacked if you use the name of your pet for a password and then splash the name of your pets and your fremail address all over Facebook (etc).
Passwords should be like XtrfG#5cGM . Different password for every account.
Also when it comes to secret questions for password recovery, your mother's maiden name is "ChevyNova" or "rhubarb" - something you can remember, but not her real maiden name. Your first pet was named "applepie." Get the idea?

How do I send mail using the postal service?
I used to correspond with a cousin via snail mail, but I always gave the letter to my parents. Now I want to send a card to someone else, but I don't want to ask my parents, and I don't know how the postal service works, besides that I need an envelope, address and a stamp (but i don't know where to get one). And then what?
ThanksHow do I send mail using the postal service?
1. get your card
2. get an envelope (you can buy a box of these in like grocery stores like eckered or cvs or duane reade or something)
3. buy your stamp at the post office
you can do this by going to one of those machines that sell stamps (i think you put your $ in, then punch it the #, and then you get your stamp(s) or something)
i think you can also do this by going on-line and buying it from the people behind the counter/the wall, but i wouldn't, b/c this might take longer. if you need help, just ask someone at the post office, or see if anyone is buying their own stamps, and look at how they buy stamps, ask them, or read the instructions yourself that is on the machine itself (or ask a post office person if you really need help)
4. get your cousin's address if you don't know it
5. know your own address
6. write your name; underneath that, the first half of your address, underneath THAT, the 2nd half of your address ALL ON THE upper left hand corner of your envelope
7. do the same procedure for your cousin's address (name, 1st half of address, 2nd half of address) HOWEVER you do somewhere else
look at your envelope, imagine an imaginary line going down the middle; start your cousin's name to the right of the imaginary line, near the middle (imagine a 2nd imaginary line going across the envelope's horizontal middle--your cousin's name should be around the corner of where the two lines intersect like an "L'
8. if you bought a stamp that's not like the sticker-kind, you probably have the one that you have to put water on and then stick onto your envelope. if you don't want to do that, just use good-sticking glue or something; stick your stamp onto the upper right hand corner of your envelope.
okay, just throw your envelope (if you just wrote like a letter or something, you can just fold it up and put it in a 3x5 envelope or something, but you can use other sizes, if you want) into a mailbox (blue ones) found near the outside of post offices (you can see some in the streets too, but you have to be able to open them with your hand---there's a handle for opening the mailbox)
or, you can go on line in the post office and tell the guy behind the wall you want to mail the letter and he'll just take it from you or something
okay, hoped this has helped
goodbye!
Go to the drug store, or Safeway, or a dollar store. You can buy a card there, and cards come complete with envelopes. Sign your card, address your envelope, then purchase a stamp. You can either go to the post office, or back to the drug store, Safeway or wherever (lots of places sell stamps) put the stamp on the envelope and put your envelope in a mail box. That's all there is to it.How do I send mail using the postal service?
You go to a place called the POST OFFICE and buy stamps- they cost 41 cents a piece now. While you are there you put the stamp on the upper right corner edge of the letter and drop it in a slot at the post office.
Snail Mail 101! So you've got the envelope, the address, and the stamp part down. Heres what you do: Stick your address in the upper left hand corner. Stick your parents address in the middle of the envelope. Place the stamp in the upper right hand corner. You can buy a stamp when you go to the post office to mail the letter. They usually have a machine where you can buy just one (bring change!) A stamp costs $.41 (its not free like email) Stick it in the drop box and your set!How do I send mail using the postal service?

Is Yahoo still having problems with its e-mail service?
I could not access my e-mail for weeks and then it magically worked again. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure this out. OMinously it happened again two days ago. I shall be complaining to my ISP who have subconned its e-mail service to Yahoo. Google mail might be more reliable!
Come on Yahoo get it sorted out!Is Yahoo still having problems with its e-mail service?
Hi,
Yahoo! is wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta (beta testing lasts for at least 6 months!!!) and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
BETA means TESTING!!!
I bet Google knows what Beta means!
Hope this helps you.Is Yahoo still having problems with its e-mail service?

I don't know.
What I get frustrated about is when it just decides to disconnect itself from the web.
It's happened to me twice now.
I must admit that I have not had problems with Yahoo! Mail, but I do understand your frustration! I hope it works out for you with Google.

Was the Roman empire Socialist, since they collected taxes to provide mail service and bread to the poor?
A bit of "transfer of wealth" and "big government" ya think? Or is more needed to be socialist?
Cursus publicusWas the Roman empire Socialist, since they collected taxes to provide mail service and bread to the poor?
The current Conservatives' definition of socialism is so absurd that yes, the Romans were socialists!
Don't forget: free water from public aqueducts, free sewage service, public roads.
The Romans marked all kinds of stuff with the label SPQR which stands for "Senatus Populusque Romanus" or "The Roman Senate and People" (the suffix 'que' means 'and') to show that "the people" owned all the public works. Sounds commie to me!
Rome was founded in 753 BC and reached its greatest strength during the reign of Trajan (98-117 AD).
However, in 309 AD they let Constantine, a Christian, be emperor, and within 100 years the Ostrogoths, Visigoths, and Huns had sacked Rome.
Do you think it was the socialistic SPQR free water and sewage and public roads that killed Rome? They were there for all of it's 1000 year history...

I'm not sure it is wise using mail service as an arguing point. The US Postal service is a broke dick dog.
They also fed Christians to the lions, took slaves for the state and promoted homosexuality. Sounds a lot like todays leaders. The more things change the more they stay the same. Was the Roman empire Socialist, since they collected taxes to provide mail service and bread to the poor?
Stop trying to excuse Obama and socialism.
They became more and more socialized, then they collapsed.
Good point to remember.
If you are using the abhorrent, violent, destructive, Empire of Cruel Hedonism as a defense for American social programs I think you may either need to take a history class, drop out of politics altogether or AT LEAST talk to a Dark Ages-era Pict and find out how much he liked being at the business-end of that "bread line."
You answered your own question and didn't even know it, midst of you trying to be a smartazz. Pay to provide a service!
What services have you seen provided from the TARP? Yeah that's what's I thought!

The Roman Empire was an oligarchy. The concept of Socialism was not invented until the 20th century. What makes a society Socialist is not that the Federal Government provides mail service or national defense, but that the Federal Government controls all wealth, property and means of production and rations them according to its own rules. Participation is mandatory. Social Security is a socialist program. Welfare is a socialist program. Medicare and Medicaid are socialist programs. A 401k retirement account is not a socialist program because you can opt out and you maintain posession of your own wealth.
The Mail service is a controlled monopoly not a socialist program. You do not have to send anything by mail if you don't want to. You can use a private delivery service. Providing bread for the poor is not the job of the Federal Government either. The Constitution requires that such programs, if they exist at all, are left to the States to provide. The same for Education. The same for roads and bridges.
A lot of people get confused because the Interstate Highway system was a Federal Program. It was but that was Constitutional because it was done for National Defense purposes. You see, after WWII President Eisenhower realized that we had a serious problem in our national defense. We had no way to transport massive amounts of men and equipment from Coast to Coast or Border to Border. That is what he Interstate Highway system was built to provide. That also explains why it has long stretches of straight roadway with no overhead obstructions. They were designed to be used as emergency runways for aircraft.
Ask an old guy like me and you lean stuff.

US Postal Service Priority Mail does that mean it delievers to my house or mailbox?
i ordered something on ebay. i was wondering if US Postal Service Priority Mail means if if will be shipped to my house or mailbox?US Postal Service Priority Mail does that mean it delievers to my house or mailbox?
It will be shipped to the address you gave them, usually your street address, which should have your mailbox. If it fits in the mailbox, they will leave it there. If not, they may ring the bell and deliver it. Or they may leave you a note to pick it up at the post office. If you use a P O Box and gave that as your address, it will be sent there. If it does not fit in the box, they will leave a note for you to pick it up at the counter.

If you are recieving something better ask for the servie name and go to ems website check the affiliated destinations with them and checkout for your destination. Put in a track number and track your shipment. The track i gues should be 9 or 11 numbers long containing some alphabets as well .. thats all i remember but for the time if my wish works i would wish you Best of Luck with your Hard work !!
