How can I set yahoo mail as my default email service on Firefox?

I use Firefox and I would like to know how to set yahoo mail as my default mail serviceHow can I set yahoo mail as my default email service on Firefox?
鈧?For Firefox 3 (There is no option for FF 2.)...

Go to Yahoo Mail and select "options". Then select "Set Y! Mail as default webmail".

This will only work for mailto links within Firefox. I know of no way to access it from outside of Firefox.

It can also be done by going to tools %26gt; options %26gt; applications. Scroll down to MAILTO and select Yahoo Mail from the dropdown menu.

Thank you :-) Got it done and it worked!

To set it to your homepage, go to tools (on your toolbar with file, edit, etc), then click on options, then go to the "main" tab and put http://www.yahoo.com/ in the home page address bar

alternately, if you want the yahoo mail tool bar to appear on firefox so you can access your mail from the click of a button , go to http://toolbar.yahoo.com/ and install yahoo toolbar to mozilla firefoxHow can I set yahoo mail as my default email service on Firefox?
shouldnt there be a check box thingy?
you can't (least i don't think), just turn yahoo into your homepage...How can I set yahoo mail as my default email service on Firefox?
Firefox does not have any settings for default mail. You can make mail.yahoo.com your homepage and have it "remember you" if you check the box. That way, when you open the page, you will always see your e-mails first.

You can also set multipule tabs to open at the beginning of each start... you can set one tab to be mail.yahoo.com.
you can do it the same way you set google as your homepage.

1. right next to the home icon there should be a mini aero.

2.click on that.

3.click on the option that says add or change homepage.
Firefox doesn't really discern between mail services, though you can use this add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox鈥?/a> to specify what page opens when you open a new tab. I have mine set to open to yahoo! homepage when I open a new tab, and there are a few other parameters you can change.

If that's not quite what you're looking for, then you might want to check the mozilla.com website and search to see if they have an appropriate add on for you.

*Oh. Barkley is correct.

Cheers!
