A few years ago there was a program in PC World or somewhere that allows Yahoo mail to be the default mail server for IE as opposed to Outlook. It must be some sort of add-on. Any help on how to get it??How do I make my Yahoo mail be the default mail service for the IE taskbar?
Yaho used to have a little tool available seperately to do this but you should find it still included with either the download for the yahoo messenger or yahoo toolbar.
When you install one of those, there may be an option to ake yahoo your default mail.
If not, what it does still do is add yahoo's webmail as a possible mail application.
All you need do is open IE and go to Tools/internet options in the menu
when the options panel opens, select the programs tab and you will see a 'e-mail' application selector. by default it is set to outlook express however after installing the yahoo toolbar, yahoo mail should have been added to the possible program options. all you need do is select that instead of outlok and save the settings.
There should be a way of doing it without installing the messenger or toolbar as all windows mail and news apps but dont know that route. How do I make my Yahoo mail be the default mail service for the IE taskbar?
go to tools-internet options-type in the site of yahoo on the address filed that you can see.hit on apply then ok
