What do you think of Netflix changing their DVD mail service to “Qwikster”?

The service where they mail you DVDs will soon be called “Qwikster”. And the streaming directly to your TV will remain Netflix. But it will be two separate services with two separate websites. What do you think of this? What do you think of Netflix changing their DVD mail service to “Qwikster”?
They can call it anything they want - as long as they keep mailing movies to me!
Reed Hastings has made a major corporate business mistake---one that has his millionaire and billionaire entrepreneurial colleagues silently shaking their heads, wondering if it's amateur hour for Reed.

Oh, I well see the jokes and ridicule on the "Trickster / Qwikster" name thing.....I'll leave that alone for now.

Hastings jacked up Netflix member fees with aims of that additional PROFIT abating broadband hardware overhead costs surely attached to "Qwikster". In essence, Netflix members help pay for Qwikster's start up and existence!!

Hastings should have totally left Netflix alone--and forged on with his start up of Qwikster--complete with it's OWN membership fees, albeit they would be set high to offset those costs of broadband hardware.

Hastings is also listening to market trend advice: The DVD player industry is dying. It's estimated that in about 5 to 7 years, DVD players will go the way of 8-Track cassettes; music and box office film / video will be piped in via broadband over satellite and / or cable TV systems.

Reed Hastings jumped way too early in this bid to create Qwikster; he probably would have had better luck starting this around mid 2017, when the DVD market pretty much evaporates.

And in Hasting's view, Netflix is a mega corporation---one that can afford a few pissed off bitter members, knowing for every one who leaves in disgust---four new fresh ( and rookie green ) members join, eager to get in on the Netflix service.....only to likely be strongly guided to Qwikster.

And this is where I think Hastings is about to be proven that his Netflix company is NOT a Teflon armored behemoth like AT%26amp;T; I support the Netflix members cancelling their memberships and taking a united stand against corporate bullying. What do you think of Netflix changing their DVD mail service to “Qwikster”?
I don't like it, but I sort of understand what they are trying to do. They want to eventually offer everything on online streaming and I guess splitting the company up allows them to concentrate on the streaming system and possibly speed up the process of improvements. It also seems like they are want to kill the discs by mail system more quickly by giving it a terrible name and probably decreasing the quality of the service overall, but we will have to wait and see.
Desperation; they blew it big time and tanked their own stock by getting greedy on their customers.

I bet at the least big heads roll there; that stock thing's a killer; if it gets low enough, a corporate raider could buy up a controlling share and maybe outst the management, or control the company %26amp; sell it or merge it into a nuther.

Some corporate types would like to own the Netflix name. What do you think of Netflix changing their DVD mail service to “Qwikster”?
it's pointless

I get that streaming and Disc rentals are become 2 separate things

but having the option of choosing one, both or the other on Netflix makes more sense than branching off into another business
They're shooting themselves in the foot
it seems foolish
it's silly to me
