What is the fastest Royal Mail service?

I have a report to send in by the 7th the deadline being at 3pm for my lecturer to receive it. Ideally I'd like to finish it on the 6th, post it the same day and then be guaranteed it gets there by 3.



At the same time is anyone else having problems with the Royal Mail website? I keep getting 'page load errors' and as you can tell my internet is fine.

If its to someone within the UK, use Special Delivery.

As long as its posted on the 6th by 5pm, it will be delivered by 1pm on the 7th and that is guaranteed, with money back. The postman will require a signature on delivery.

After that, its first class, and that can take one to three days, so don't use this if there's no flexibility in your deadline.

Royal Mail Airsure is your safest bet. It's the fastest international service, has online tracking, and claims to deliver to Western Europe in 3 days. However, don't leave it too late. The Royal Mail is flooded with Christmas deliveries in December which could cause delays.

I suspect Datapost wouldn't deliver because the item can't be signed for at the other end. With Airsure, the postal operative delivering the item will scan it to say it's been delivered.
