What is happening to the yahoo mail service?

After two or more hours of trying, I can finally connect with yahoo mail, but I can't send any messages, I can't check to see if I have any new messages, I can't do much of anything including transfer previously received mail to a file folder.

Are others having this problem?What is happening to the yahoo mail service?
